Acknowledgements
The 2014 wave of the Child Development Supplement (CDS) to the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) was based at the Survey Research Center in the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan.
CDS-2014 was directed by Narayan Sastry. Paula Fomby served as the CDS-2014 project director and provided significant leadership, management, and contributions across all aspects of the project. Katherine McGonagle was a key member of the team in the early stages of the project, and continued to provide important guidance and advice throughout the remainder of the project. Other PSID investigators who provide input at key stages of the project include Charlie Brown, Jacquelynne Eccles, and Robert Schoeni. Valuable input and support at several stages was also provided by Dalton Conley and Colter Mitchell.
Development of the questionnaires for CDS-2014, which were based on those used in the first three waves of CDS, was led by Narayan Sastry, Paula Fomby, and Yi-Miau Tsai. The questionnaire development process was ably managed and implemented by Andrea Scott and Mary Dascola, members of the PSID project team. Questionnaire input and advice was obtained from Robert Bradley, Pamela Davis-Kean, Jacquelynne Eccles, Eszter Hargittai, Sandy Hofferth, Susan Jekielek, Megan Patrick, and Kate Smith.
The design and implementation of CDS-2014 sampling procedures was undertaken by Steve Heeringa, Frost Hubbard, Brady West, and James Wagner.
Within the Survey Research Operations (SRO) unit, which undertook the fieldwork for CDS- 2014, Jennifer Arrieta served as the SRO Project Manager under the direction of Shonda Kruger-Ndiaye (PSID Survey Director), Stephanie Chardoul (SRO Senior Project Advisor), Gregg Peterson (SRO Associate Director), and Patty Maher (SRO Director). Among the many other key SRO staff members on CDS-2014 were Maryam Buagelila, Dianne Casey, Wen Chang, Sara Freeland, Stanley Hasper, Lloyd Hemingway, Jay Lin, Youhong Liu, Esther Ullman, Ryan Yoder, and Dan Zahs.
Kimberly Schlegel was responsible for data processing activities. Christine Peterson provided assistance with several important data processing tasks.
